Proposed Legislation Concerning Nonaggressive Self-Defense

It has become apparent over the last few months that the growth of Aikido in the United States has taken a sharp upswing. This is due in large part to the fact that a second generation of Aikido teachers has come into its own. The efforts of the many fine Senseis from Japan who have lived and taught in America during the past ten or so years are now bearing fruit. The term “Aikido” is now a part of the vocabulary of a large portion of the population.

Also, more and more teachers of Aikido are realizing the economic opportunities of the art and are channeling their full energies and creative talents toward the betterment of themselves and others.
