INOUE, ZENZO 井上善蔵
(1861-1928). Father of Noriaki INOUE (nephew of Morihei UESHIBA). Zenzo was one of TANABE's wealthiest residents and had business concerns in several major cities of Japan. He married Morihei's eldest sister, Tame and they had eight children, including Yoichiro (aka Noriaki). The influence of Zenzo together with Yoroku UESHIBA on the early life decisions of Morihei UESHIBA is great. Zenzo was a major financier of the Tanabe settlors of SHIRATAKI, Hokkaido and he was also likely to have provided significant sums to Sokaku TAKEDA enabling Morihei and Yoichiro to study Daito-ryu jujutsu.
