MUSHIN MUGAMAE 無心無我前

Empty or open mind, empty or open stance. A favorite saying of Kenji TOMIKI, which refers to the flexibility and relaxed state of mind and body that is the goal of his aikido. Calligraphy by Tomiki with this phrase hangs in both the WASEDA UNIVERSITY AIKIDO CLUB and at the SHODOKAN.
