NADEAU, ROBERT

(b. 1940). 7th dan Aikikai. Professional aikido instructor. An early practitioner and pioneer of aikido in California. Nadeau began practice in the late 1950s and spent more than two years studying at the AIKIKAI HOMBU in the early 60s. He is known for his emphasis on the spiritual and meditative aspects of aikido. Nadeau is one of the main instructors in the San Francisco Bay area and a leader in the AIKIDO ASSOCIATION OF NORTHERN CALIFORNIA. Interviewed AN#39-40.
