ABEL, LASZLO

(b. 1954-21 June 2009). Employed by the Australian Embassy in Tokyo. Long-time resident of Japan and practitioner of several KOBUJUTSU. Has done extensive research into Masaki Manrikigusari-jutsu and Masaki Kusarigama-jutsu (chain and sickle arts), and on early foreign martial arts practitioners in Japan. Authored two articles on the martial arts background of Morihei UESHIBA appearing in AN#73-74.
