SUNADOMARI, FUKIKO 砂泊扶妃子

(9 May 1914-1 May 2006). Née Mitsue. Born into a family of devout OMOTO RELIGION believers. High-ranking student of Hideo Sonobe of Jikishinkage-ryu Naginata fame who lived and trained in the AIKIKAI HOMBU DOJO beginning in the early 1950s. She was a close personal friend and confidante of Morihei UESHIBA in the 1950s and 1960s and occupied the position of Fujin Bucho (director of the women's section) at the Aikikai. Step-sister of Kanemoto SUNADOMARI and sister of Kanshu SUNADOMARI.
