GOLDSBURY, PETER

6th dan Aikikai. Began aikido in 1969 in Britain. While a university student, trained under Kazuo Chiba and later in the USA with Mitsunari Kanai. Returned to Britain in 1975 and practiced under Minoru Kanetsuka until 1980. After obtaining his Ph.D., relocated to Hiroshima, Japan in 1980 where he is currently Professor and Head of Department in the Faculty of General Arts & Sciences. Now practices at dojo of Masakazu Kitahira and has frequently attended seminars with the late Seigo Yamaguchi, Hiroshi Tada, Masatake Fujita and, most recently Sadateru Arikawa. Current Chairman of the International Aikido Federation. Frequent contributor to Aikido Journal.
