We would like to present to you the first international Seminar of its kind in Canada on the 13th and 14th of June, in Montreal. Aiki No-kami 2009 presents a group of 8 Sensei from all Aiki styles. This exceptional event will allow us to make you discover:
Soke Don Angier, inheritor of Kenji Yoshida of Yanagi Ryu Aiki Bugei.
The very rare outings of this out of the ordinay and expert swordsman in tai-jutsu will make this event exceptionally unique.
Also, the presence of :
sensei Massimo Di Villadorata, 7th dan from Montreal Aikikai;
sensei Pat Hendricks, 6th dan of Iwama Ryu from SanFrancisco;
sensei Andre-Jacques Serei, 7th dan and cofounder of Nintai Aiki Ju Jitsu;
sensei Daniel Laurendeau, 6th dan of Aikido McGill;
sensei Medhat Darwish, 3th dan of Daito Ryu Aikibudo;
sensei Raynald Fleury, 4th dan and cofounder of the Aiki Omoto dojo
sensei Andre Boudreau,3rd dan of Chisaii Maru Aiki Ju Jitsu
will honour the seminar. Many surprises and demonstrations await you these two days.
Aiki No-Kami 2009 will be the event that marks this year!

Friends,
The Aiki no Kami event was an experience unequaled to anything I've seen in bujutsu. Those who took part were dynamic, humble, and extremely talented. Needless to say, Don and I were most pleased to participate in this aiki festival, and cannot express enough how much we enjoyed ourselves. We made true friends, and had an unforgettable adventure. With that said, let me thank a few of the principles:
Raynald Fleury: Thank you for making this gathering a truly association free event. Without a doubt, you have an open mind and open heart; two things that are needed to bring together teachers and students from different disciplines. The Yanagi ryu supports your vision.
François Tremblay: Thank you for handling so many of the event logistics that made the weekend run smoothly. Your efforts are very much appreciated.
Medhat Darwish: Thank you for your inspiring dedication to the Aiki no Kami event. Without you, the event would not have been what it was.
Pat Hendricks: Thank you for your honesty, integrity, and dedication to teaching Aikido. It was my pleasure and honor to take ukemi for you, even if just for a few minutes.
Massimo di Villadorata: Thank you for your no-nonsense approach to teaching, for demonstrating a "healthy ego", and for continuing to "move forward". You my friend, are a true gentleman.
Alain Pigeon: Honorable mention.
Truthfully, this event had far too many people who contributed to its success, for me to name them all in short order.
Thank you all for your company and attendance. |
